What is Taap?
Taap is a digital business card that allows you to instantly share your social networks, music, payment platforms, contact information and any other app or URL link by simply scanning a QR code or tapping an NFC card with the other person's phone.
The other person doesn't need an app or Taap to receive your Taap's information!
Businesses use Taap as a tool to turn people they meet offline into real business relationships.
What do I need to use Taap?
If you want to share using contactless cards:
- You need to purchase a Taap NFC smart card
- Then, you need to create an account in our free web app here
If you want to only share using a virtual QR card you just need to create an account in our free web app here

What information can I share with Taap?
You can share any URL you want! If it is on the internet you can share it with Taap
Businesses use Taap to share their:
- Contact information (to get more leads and sales)
- Websites (to increase web traffic)
- Forms (to share surveys for customer feedback)
- Social media (to get followers and engagement)
- Promotions and discounts
- Payment links
- Files; and
- Any other information that is on the internet
Does the person receiving the information need to have a Taap or app?
No! The other person does not need a Taap or app to receive your information. That's the cool thing about Taap.
To send information via contactless, the phone of the person receiving the info should have NFC. Please see a non exhaustive list of compatible devices here.
To send information via QR, simply display the QR code of your Taap profile for the other person to scan with their device.
Can I use Taap with people I don't know and just met?
Of course! That's the advantage of Taap. Taap can be used by anyone to instantly share all their websites, contact information, social profiles and any other information!

How do I get the Taap Web Application?
Why should I use software to use Taap?
The Taap Web App allows you to create digital business cards and add contact information on your profile.
It also allows you to modify/ delete the information being shared, get the contact information of the person you just shared your card, see how many times your connections viewed your info, and many more!
Do I have to pay to use the Taap Web Application?
No, creating and sharing your digital business card with Taap is 100% free. We want to make sure you get rid of paper business cards, which are not effective in doing their job: getting you more connections and leads.
We have a Pro version available that includes additional features targeting professional using business cards recurrently. But the business card creation, customization and sharing are tools that are FREE FOREVER.
Does Taap share your contact details with third parties?
No! Taap is the only platform that does not share your profile contact information with third parties. The contact details are yours and the people you make Taap with ... no one else!
PS: If you assume no other digital business card companies sell your data, take a look on the "term and conditions" policy section of some other companies... you will be surprised!

How can I share specific links in my profile instead of my entire profile?
If you do not wish to share your entire card, you can use our "One link" functionality to select the specific link you wish to send directly (e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn, Contact Card, Snapchat)

Do Taap contactless cards work under the phone case?
Yes! Taaps operate on 99.9% of all phone cases. The only exception is covers that have a layer of metal. If there is a metal layer between the device receiving the information and the Taap the information may not be shared successfully.
Do I have to place my Taap only on phones?
No! Taaps can be placed anywhere you want. The possibilities are endless!
Your Taap communicates autonomously with the phone that receives the information so it can be pasted into any type of material or surface whether it is a computer, a restaurant table, a brochure or any material.
I can't read my Taap from an iPhone device, what do I do?

Is my Taap contactless card going to make my phone run out of battery ?
No, NFC consumes very little energy. It consumes much less energy than Bluetooth technology.
What phones does Taap work with?
Taap QR works in all Android and iPhone devices.
Taap contactless (NFC) works in all Android and iPhone devices except iPhone 6 and earlier. You device should have NFC to receive the information via contactless. See a non exhaustive list of devices supporting NFC here.
Can I link multiple Taap contactless cards to a single account?
Yes, you can! With the Taap Web App, you can have as many Taaps as you want with the same account.
4. Purchases and shipments
Do you send Taaps all around the world?
Yes! We ship Taap contactless cards worldwide with DHL Express. Maximum delivery time is 7 business days.
Do you provide tracking number for each order?
Once your Taap is on its way, you'll receive an email or text message with a link to the tracking information. If you do not receive this email, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
How long will it take to receive my Taap?
Shipping time is 2-7 business days worldwide. All orders come with tracking number!
My Taap order did not arrive
If you have not received your Taaps, please try the steps below:
1. Check your mailbox
2. Contact the premium courier company shipping your order, provide them the tracking number, and ask them about the order status.
3. If your order shows as delivered and it is not, please allow 1-2 days to arrive. Sometimes orders are marked as "delivered" but arrive 1-2 days later. If your package has not arrived within this time frame, please send an email to email@example.com
